QCal respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the QCal app and website (collectively, the "Services") to do the same. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and our content rules for user-generated content.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content available on the Services infringes your copyright, please send a notice of infringement to our designated agent containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it (e.g., URL or username + post date).
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

2. Counter-Notice
If you believe content of yours was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., the District of Delaware) and will accept service of process from the original complainant.
3. Repeat Infringers
QCal will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
4. Content Standards for User-Generated Content
The QCal social feed is a community space. You agree not to post, upload, or share content that:
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit.
- Depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous dietary practices.
- Harasses, threatens, or bullies any individual or group.
- Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
- Contains identifiable images of other people without their consent.
- Includes spam, malware, scams, or unsolicited commercial content.
- Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents your affiliation.
5. Reporting Other Violations
To report content that violates these standards (not copyright), email support@qcal.info with a link or screenshot and a brief description. We review reports promptly and may remove content or suspend accounts as needed.
